The Contact Lens Exam
A contact lens exam at Annik Eye Care follows the same thorough process as a comprehensive eye exam, with additional focus on the cornea and other factors specific to contact lens use. Because contact lenses fit differently than glasses, your contact lens prescription may differ from your eyeglass prescription.
During the exam, our optometrists will determine if your eyes are healthy enough for regular contact lens wear. Certain conditions—such as chronic eye infections, allergies, or exposure to dusty or dirty environments—may affect your suitability for contact lenses. The Contact Lens Fitting
For new contact lens wearers, a professional fitting is included with your contact lens exam at Annik Eye Care. During the fitting, we measure your cornea to determine the best lens type and fit for your eyes.
Our team will also guide you on proper insertion, removal, and care for your lenses, and provide a trial pair to help you get comfortable with your new lenses.
